Plain answers to
the real questions.

If your question isn't here, text us at (813) 733–5213. Amanda answers most of them personally.

How long does Botox actually last?
For most patients, Botox lasts 3 to 4 months. New patients sometimes see the effect wear off a little faster as the body learns to respond. By the second or third treatment, intervals usually stabilize around the 4-month mark. The result wears off gradually, not all at once.
Is filler painful?
It's manageable. We apply topical numbing for 20 minutes before any filler injection, and most modern fillers are pre-mixed with lidocaine, so the first pass numbs the rest of the area. Lips are the most sensitive zone — we go slowly. Most patients describe it as "pressure" rather than "pain."
How soon will I see results?
It depends on the treatment. Filler is partly visible immediately (volume returns the moment we place it) and settles over about 2 weeks. Botox begins working in 3 to 5 days and reaches full effect at 14 days — that's why we book the complimentary touch-up at the 2-week mark. Microneedling, VirtueRF and CO2 laser results unfold over the following weeks as new collagen matures, which is why we plan them as short series.
Can I combine treatments in one visit?
Often yes. Botox + filler in the same visit is a common pairing. We're more cautious about combining a laser or microneedling treatment with injectables on the same day — we usually space those by a week or two. We'll always tell you what's wise to combine and what's worth scheduling separately.
Will insurance cover any of this?
Aesthetic treatments — Botox, filler, microneedling, VirtueRF, peels, laser and B12 — are elective and not covered by insurance. We accept all major cards, and some patients are able to use HSA or FSA funds for certain treatments; we can provide an itemized receipt on request.
What if I'm not sure what I need?
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Most patients arrive thinking they need one thing and leave with a plan that's different — sometimes smaller, sometimes phased over months. The consultation is $50, and that fee is credited against any treatment booked within 30 days.
I'm a man — is this place for me?
Yes. About a quarter of Amanda's patients are men, and treatment plans for men are different by design — less filler, more brow and jaw work, often a focus on skin texture and hairline. The waiting room is small and discreet. You won't be the only one.
Are you HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Charts are stored in HIPAA-compliant medical software, photos go into a private patient file with explicit consent, and we'll never publish your image without a signed release. Please don't send protected health information by email or DM — phone or text to the office number is fine.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. Many patients bring a friend or partner to their first consultation. There's a comfortable chair in the treatment room for one guest. We just ask that you make the call yourself when it comes to what's in your plan.
What if I don't like the result?
Tell us. For neuromodulators, the complimentary two-week recheck exists exactly for this. For filler, hyaluronic-acid products can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase — same day if needed. We'd rather adjust than have you live with something you don't love.
Are you pregnant- or nursing-safe?
We do not offer Botox, filler, or most laser treatments during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. There are still things we can do — medical-grade facials, dermaplaning, certain skin routines — and we'll always tell you what's wise to wait on. If you become pregnant during a treatment series, please tell us at your next visit.
